Conveyancing

Conveyancing is the name given to the process of transferring ownership of land or property from one person to another. It can often be a complicated procedure and J. W. Hughes & Co aim to ensure that this is carried out efficiently and as quickly as our Clients require.

There are several different sorts of conveyancing, depending upon the type of property involved and the nature of the transaction. Domestic Conveyancing is the name given to the sale or purchase of residential property, either for owner-occupation or buy-to-let purposes.

Commercial Conveyancing is the name given to the sale or purchase of Business property and often includes work involving the creation or transfer of Business leases.

Whilst many properties are by now Registered at HM Land Registry, there remain many unregistered titles, particularly in areas such as North Wales . All our conveyancers at J. W. Hughes & Co offer expertise with both types of title (registered and unregistered) and clients will be encouraged to know that, however complicated the transaction, our Solicitors have the expertise to handle it.
