An opportunity has arisen to join a well-established Legal Firm in North Wales. We are looking to recruit a receptionist to join our busy team.
J W Hughes & Co is a well-established law firm seeking an experienced receptionist at the Llandudno Office to provide an efficient service to clients and staff. The successful candidate will undertake a full range of administrative and receptionist duties.
Suitable candidates will:
- Have previous experience within a law firm or a similar professional service environment
- Have good IT skills with Microsoft O365
- Be positive with excellent communication skills
- Be organised with great time management, excellent administration skills, and the ability to multitask
The position will involve:
- Answering incoming calls and transferring to the relevant department
- Booking meeting areas
- Taking accurate messages
- Meeting and greeting clients and other visitors to the office
- Assisting with administrative duties
- Diary management
- Looking after the reception area, ensuring that it is kept tidy

I started my journey at J W Hughes & Co. in January 2022.
My initial thoughts on what it would be like to work for a prestigious law firm quickly changed when I arrived at J W Hughes & Co. He ensures I am listened to; he ensures I get my chances to step in where he can watch and educate, and he ensures my overall learning experience is as real as it can be. I have learned more here at J W Hughes & Co. than I have over my whole university experience, and I have a master’s degree!
For those wishing to come and join J W Hughes & Co., I would say you are in for some hard work, but you will have fun while doing it. You will learn all you need from the best teachers, and you will develop without even noticing it and, of course, having a good time makes time fly.
