Family Law Private Proceedings

Are you and your partner separating? We understand how difficult it can be, and we can help you and answer your questions today. We offer expert advice on divorce and separation, including financial and child matters. Our experienced solicitors will help you every step of the way through the divorce process. If your case is simple or complex, we have the expertise to help you, so get in touch today. We can help you with:

  •  divorce and separation
  • arrangements for children
  • financial agreements
  • domestic abuse
  • legal aid
  • care proceedings
  • pensions
  • TOLATA claims
  • civil partnership dissolution
  • change of name
  • pre- and post-nuptial agreements

Every case is different, and this is not an exhaustive list. We have also handled international divorce and child matters and international child abductions. Please get in touch to see how we can help you.

You may have questions regarding your children, and we understand the difficulties you might find yourself in. If you have problems with your partner regarding your children, we can assist you in seeking a Child Arrangement Order from the court, which will determine where the children will live, with whom they will spend time, when, and for how long. We can also help with specific issue proceedings that are in dispute, for example, a matter that requires approval from both parents, such as wanting to change a child’s school.

If you have unfortunately suffered domestic abuse, we can help you as we are experienced in matters where there has been domestic abuse or allegations of harm, and we can assist with the preparation of statements and apply for any injunctions (known as Non-Molestation Orders). We can assist with making preventative steps for the removal of a child (known as a Prohibited Steps Order).

We offer a FREE first appointment.

Public Law Care Proceedings

If you are facing care proceedings, we can help you. We know that it can be a very confusing and stressful time. We can help you through the process and give clear advice at the time you need it most.

We are approved by the Legal Aid Agency to provide publicly funded legal advice for proceedings issued by the Local Authority relating to the care of children (under the Children Act, 1989). We have experience of representing all parties involved in the proceedings – whether that be someone with parental responsibility, connected persons, the alleged perpetrator, or the children themselves (by their guardian). We can also offer advice for contact with a child in care and special guardianship orders.
